How Penny got started with StellaDot

I a mother of 3 boys and for a long time I have been looking for an opportunity to do something for myself that would fit in around my family and lifestyle and allow me to earn extra income.   I heard about Stella & Dot in early February and went along to an event to meet other Stylists.  Stella & Dot is an american inc 500 fastest growing company and they launched un the UK last October and so were recruiting Stylists in the UK.  Straight away I was completely stunned by the gorgeous range of jewellery and loved it all! I was introduced to a lady who I was told would sponsor me thereby coach me and help me launch my own business as a stylist.  I paid my joining fee of £198 and got my whole business in a box and £400 worth of jewellery.  Immediately you have your sponsor who helps you every step of the way and you have access to the Stella & Dot online community of other stylists and the stylist lounge where you will find out everything that you need to know and you can get access to 24/7 online training videos.  You can dial in weekly to live training calls and find out about all the wonderful incentives you get as a stylist.  Not only do you earn 25 to 30% commission but you also earn free jewellery, free bonuses and free business supply credits for all your lovely brochures.  You will have your own personal ecommerce website for those online orders too!

Straight away I created a big list of who I knew and started booking Trunk Shows.  These are the jewellery parties that you do for a hostess and a group of her friends.  These are 2 hour events and the hostess gets free jewellery and discounts depending on my sales.  I have met such lovely ladies doing these shows and I really enjoy styling the ladies with the jewellery and helping them update their jewellery wardrobe.  Our boutique style jewellery is a very good price range, 50% is under £40 and we have had so much of our pieces featured in the fashion magazines from Vogue, InStyle, Grazia, Red and Easy Living! We also have a huge amount of celebrities wearing the jewellery too!

The best part of being a Stylist is the earning potential and opportunities.  Not only can you earn up to £50 per hour at your trunk shows but also you can decide to sponsor and thereby coach and mentor new stylists.  This way you can layer your income as Stella &Dot will pay you coaching commissions! You become part of a team and every month I meet with my sponsor and her team and thereby get continual support and training.  You are running your own business in your time from as little as two hours per week to 40 hours per week should you wish but with all the support and back up from Stella & Dot so you don't feel alone.  I have been promoted to Senior stylist because I am building a team and my coaching percentages have increased as a result and I have earned a considerable amount of commission and more than paid back my initial investment.

I am attending in July our annual two day training conference in July and I will be able to mingle with hundreds of other stylists at this event.  The beauty of this business is that we are all supporting each others and there are no territories which is great.

This is such a challenging and rewarding business.  Every day I feel so glamorous wearing the gorgeous jewellery samples and proud to have my business for Stella & Dot! It has changed my life and given me such focus.  I would love to be able to give you too the opportunity to become a Stylist so please get in touch with me.

Flexible work recruitment fair comes to Manchester

Flexible work recruitment fair comes to Manchester
Plans are being made for flexible work recruitment fair to be held in Manchester in May.
Local employers offering part-time work, businesses sharing opportunities for self-employment, franchisors, training companies, colleges, professional business advisors and networking groups will be represented at the event.
The fair will be held in the heart of the city at the Renaissance Manchester City Hotel, Blackfriars Street, on Saturday, May 19, from 10.30am to 4pm.
Following successful shows in Sussex and Essex organiser Karyn Slyfield, director of Working Jobs from Home, aims to bring under one roof people offering job opportunities or advice and those seeking flexible work or hoping to start their own businesses.
Karyn’s website at www.workingjobsfromhome.co.uk attracts about 2000 visitors a day who are interested in ideas for flexible working but she is keen to bring job seekers and providers together at the fair.
“This is an opportunity for them to meet face to face and learn more about each other in an informal and friendly atmosphere.
“The fair could appeal particularly to stay at home parents, students, graduates, people wanting to supplement their pensions, those facing redundancy and others looking to boost their income or start their own business.”
Karyn said: “ There is a real interest in this show, as we can see that from visitors already pre-registering to attend. There will be exciting free CV workshops and Start up biz seminars sessions, running throughout the day”
Entry to the fair will be free. About 30 flexible work employers are attending and there will be free seminars and workshops too. Goodie bags will be available for the first 150 job seekers to arrive at the event.

350 attend Harlow Recruitment Fair!

More than 350 people attended a flexible working recruitment fair in Harlow last week and organiser Karyn Slyfield was delighted with the way it went.
Harlow Council chairman Cllr Mike Garnett cut a ribbon during the opening ceremony at the Park Inn Hotel and chatted with stallholders afterwards.
He can be seen in our picture with members of the Butcher family from Ramsden Heath who were manning the Smallprint stall.
Mother-of-four Sue Butcher has been running the Smallprint business for several years but is now selling up. Her daughters joined her at the fair to tell people more about the fine silverware produced with the aim of capturing children's finger prints, hand or foot prints or even little messages.
Essex Jobcentre Plus was also one of the exhibitors and there were free start-up business seminars and free workshops to help visitors brush up on their CVs.
Fair organiser Karyn Slyfield of Working Jobs from Home said the feedback from stallholders and visitors was great and she was pleased to have been able to bring together people looking for work and those offering it.
A variety of flexible work opportunities can be found all year round on Karyn's website at www.workingjobsfromhome.co.uk.
